The problem persists with individuals running Malwarebytes antivirus program. There is a problem saving a file locally or to a network share. In addition, the conflict prohibits the users from copying a large amount of data from one file to another, or from one app to a different app (for example: copy and paste from Excel to Word) and inserting any picture from Word.

If you are troubled by this issue, try this:
Launch Malwarebytes and choose ‘Settings tab’ visible in the left pane.
Next, click the Protection tab residing in the top pane. And select “Manage Protected Applications” option under it.

Later, in the Protected Applications window, scroll down to locate Microsoft Office PowerPoint and when found toggle to disable/turn off the protection.

Repeat for other Office applications.

"Also, bear in mind, when you disable the protection some of the functionality of Malwarebytes will be affected but if you do not mind this, proceed further and disable the protection for Office apps."
