[Done]spying programs at work
« on: June 18, 2009, 05:30:10 AM »
Hi all!

My problem is that using Spybot I found a programme called "keylogger revealer" installed on my computer. I entered various forums and was recommended to use Hijack This. I've done so but do not understand the results. Could someone please take a look at the log and tell me if I have anything "strange" living in my computer? Thankyou.

I assume you are concerned about spy programs that your employer installed on computers they own but let you use, to watch what you do at work?  If this is correct, not only will we not help you to deal with them, but we must advise you that what you are considering is a potentially criminal act, and it is without doubt ample reason for your employer to terminate your services immediately.

You do not own that system, your employer does.  It belongs to him.  He can do anything he wants to do with it, and that is the way it is.  If you don't like that, your recourse is to get another job with a different employer.  And, since your employer also pays the total cost of the bandwidth, using that bandwidth is also a potentially criminal activity called "theft of services".  You have absolutely no rights to the expectation of privacy in this area.

Sorry, this topic is locked.  I advise that before you use your employer's systems for personal reasons that you consult a good attorney first.  You are likely to need their services.

I have removed your HJT log.
