Please go to http://www.whatsmybrowser.org/ and tell me what browser it says you are using. Yahoo7 is what they call a browser portal. Everyone else calls it a homepage. It is not a publicly available browser, but they may have a private beta going.

The run as Administrator should be the fourth option after you right click on mvps.bat (unless your mouse is set up for a left handed person, in which case it would be a left mouse click).

Please open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and right click on the file named hosts and select send to and then select zipped folder. Save it to the desktop. Attach it to your next reply.

Are you having any other problems with this computer?

I am using Internet Explorer 11.  No troubles with this computer.

I sent a post in reply about 20 minutes ago.  Previously, because I am not sure of the normal posting procedure,  I've used Quick Reply. However, I understand that Quick Reply doesn't allow attachments so I attempted a normal Post.

My attempted normal Post advised you that I am using Internet Explorer 11 included the Hosts zip file as an attachment.

Sorry, but that is the only Hosts.zip file I can see.  Can you help me locate it?

Your Hosts file is clean, so that is not the problem.

Click Start. click run, type: cmd, and press CTRL+SHIFT+Enter
Type: ping google.com >ping.txt, and then press the ENTER key.
Type: ping.txt and press ENTER.
A notepad window should open. Copy the contents and paste it back here. Once you have done that you can close both the windows.

That tells me that your computer can connect to Google, but for some reason your browser cannot.

While you are connected to the internet and can browse the internet, follow the instructions below again.

Open a command prompt (all programs > Accessories > Command Prompt) and type in
Ipconfig /all > ipconfig.txt and then hit enter. Then type in ipconfig.txt to open notepad with the log. Copy it and paste it in to your next response.

So far everything checks normal. Now I need you to start IE in safe mode. Not Windows Safe Mode but IE Safe mode.

In Windows 7, to run your Internet Explorer in the no add-ons mode, Open Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

Let me know if you can get to Google's page this way.

I need you to install another browser and try accessing google. The easiest to try is chrome, but you may not be able to get it. Try going to the following link and see if you can install Chrome from it.
