Ran both. Should I have run with AVG and firewall disabled? Running CFUNIST.EXE did not show any sort of progress window but a window did pop up that said Finish. Does that sound correct? Also we renamed one of the Combofix downloads Sega.com. Do I need to do anything with that file?

Having the security active was ok, if sega.com is still on your PC just delete it. Are there any remaining issues or concerns...

Thanks,

Kevin....

We are almost there.

What about on my desktop: mbar-1.09.2.1.008.exe, runme.bat, cf_uninst.exe?

Also, what about msconfig in selective start up mode?

Hello Canoo,

With regards to your questions:

Quote
What about on my desktop: mbar-1.09.2.1.008.exe, runme.bat, cf_uninst.exe?

Simply delete each of those entries...

Next,

To return your computer to a Normal startup mode, follow these steps:

  • Open msconfig...
  • On the General tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services, and then click OK.
  • When you are prompted, click Restart.

Thank you,

Kevin..
