MS recommends using a different browser until a patch can be issued.

you had me going there.

Trend Micro recommends using another browser. MS recommends being very careful while browsing and being ready to install a patch whenever one finally is created.

Quote
Microsoft counselled against taking such action.

"I cannot recommend people switch due to this one flaw," said John Curran, head of Microsoft UK's Windows group.

ADD: Looks like the patch for this one is out -- I had to dig a bit to find it; I guess MS figures there are fewer people who believe it's an unpatched vulnerability than there are people who never knew how badly at risk they were in the first place.
