No problem. Your help is appreciated. Hope you had a great weekend.

I have been removing some old programs that are no longer needed. I will run CCleaner & defrag tonight. I will also create a current backup. The computer is running better, but I am still getting occasional freezing. I am concerned about some of the errors that I am getting in Event Viewer. I am wondering if windows is trying to access some program that has become corrupted.

I will let you know once I have had a chance to run the defrag. That should be later tonight.

Had another windows update last night. It seemed to improve the operation.

I am still getting the following errors in the Event Viewer log. Don't know if I should be concerned with them or not.

Here is what I need you to do. Run windows update, and once it updates, or doesn't, reboot. Do this until you can reboot three times with no updates found or installed.

Once you have done that I need you to get me your event viewer logs. To open a command prompt, click Start , type cmd , in the Start Search box, and then press Enter . To export the log to a file, type the following command: wevtutil epl <LogName> <FileName.evtx>

It will look something like this when you type it in,
wevtutil epl application c:/application.evtx

The c:/ you can change to whatever location you want. But I need two logs. Application and System.  I will be sending you a private message on what to do with them. And just so you know, I need the evtx files and not the text type that you have been pasting above. They have more information.
