disk recovery

I have a windows 8 which is not that old maybe a year and just was checking my disks and my recovery disk is 2.77 gb free of 23.3 why is that I how do i free up more space, my local drive is fine 227 of 273, is that normal? Thank you  :)

Don't mess with the recovery disc. It is not where windows dumps the system restore files, it is the partition that your factory image is on. NOTHING should be written or removed from that partition. Unless of course you are comfortable with removing your factory restore option. Then you can do what you want with that partition, up to and including deleting it.

 Was cleaning computer and noticed that disk c was fine but disk d recovery was almost filled and wondered why because i didn't download that much stuff lol I'm a FB addict Thanks again for ur help :)
