How to make a backup of your ipod?
« on: August 08, 2014, 10:15:58 AM »
Hi - I don't have a personal pc I use at the moment. I would like to make a backup of my ipod, for safety. Is there a (ideally free) safe software any of you would recommend, that I can download and have it make a backup of all my songs? I would appreciate it so much! Many thanks! Also if you know a safe site from where I can download it without inviting viruses! Many thanks!

I have tried several ways. The only free way I have found that works reliably is to download your library to a PC, convert them to MP3's and then you can burn them to a disc.

There are programs out there, but the only ones I have used that work well have limits on them or you pay for them. The few really free ones are not worth the effort. The one you need is called CopyTrans Tune Swift. Its only $15 . But if you have burned all your music CD's to your IPod and then purchased music, $15 is pennys compared to what it will cost to redo your collection.
