I do receive that message.  So, it gives me the following options:

1. IDE : Optiarc DVD RW AD-7585H
2. Network Boot : LEGACY PCI DEVICE
3. IDE0 : WDC WD5000BEVT-22A0RT0
4. USB HHD :
5. USB FDD :
6. USB CDROM :

Based on this information, can you tell me which order they should be placed in?

Well they are in order. Is the first entry set to be booted from. There should be some sort of mark or option to make it a boot device. If that does not work, take the disc to another computer and see if it will boot from the disc.

How will this affect the other computer.  I'm really leery about seeing if another properly functioning computer will boot from the disc.  Is there any other way I can test the disc?  I honestly think the disc is fine.

As long as all you do is boot to the disc, then nothing. Don't select any option or anything. Once it has booted, just eject the disc and use the power switch to turn the computer off and then back on.
