Title: Malwarebytes losing the Database and not protecting machine?
Post by: seedy21 on July 13, 2014, 05:02:38 AM
Hi Guys / Gals

I have the paid Version of Malwarebytes on my Windows 8.1 machine. Sometimes on boot the Application will not start up with the machine. When I launch the program it says that I'm not protected and also that the database is set to 0.0.0.0? I can not update the database. The only way I have fixed this is to re-install MBAM and then I'm able to run the updates. This fault happens every now and then.

Have run Malwarebytes with the Rootkit option selected and the machine is coming back as clean. Also my FRST log looks clean so I would assume its not malware related.

Any idea's?

Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and run the  Malwarebytes Clean Uninstall Tool (http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mbam_clean) and then reinstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and that should deal with the problem.
