Virus Creation Program

I receive the weekly update from Panda security and thought this might prove interesting. Probably some forum regulars are already aware of it"

Gives new meaning to the saying..."So simple a caveman could do it"
Egads...when will it end?    :(

I've known about this for a while. It's not good how just about anyone can now make a virus and ruin someones computer. Hopefully we can educate "script kiddies" to not use these programs as they often infect their own computers along with others.

I would expect a program like this to include a backdoor so the originator of the software could also profit from the infections created by his clueless customers, like those phishing kits do.

Although that particular tool may be new, the concept is not...virus creation tools have been around for quite some time. As a side note, I recall from years ago, PestPatrol included these in it's updates regularly. PestPatrol is now the anti-spyware component of the CA eTrust security suite.

I'm quite sure they're not the only ones who do. Others may as well but I just mention it because I used it for years and know about it from first hand experience.
