I got all the files, but they all still show only one entry. When you are looking at the event viewer log, do you see more than one entry in the application event log?

Do you have an external CD-ROM or a virtual CD-ROM drive that you use with this computer?

What browser are you using to play the games with? Have you tried a different browser?

I am going to be looking at your log in a minute, but there are a few things we can deal with right now. Go to the control panel and then to the admin tools and then to the services control panel. When the window opens up it shows a list of services. Scroll down until you see Plug and Play. Right to the right of the service name is a short description of the service, then to the right of that it should say either running or be blank. After that is shows the startup type. It will say Manual, Automatic, Automatic (Delayed Start) or Disabled. I need to know if Plug and Play is running, and if it is not, what the startup type is. Then scroll down further to the uPnP host and if it is running or not, and what its startup type is.

Then I need you to run Speccy. Please download and install Speccy. Once that is done, then start it up. Once it is done analyzing, click on File and then on Save Snapshot. Save the snapshot to your desktop and then right click on it and select Send To and then Compressed (Zipped) Folder. Send it to the same place that you sent the event viewer logs.

After looking at your application log, the major problem you have is that the Toshiba Service Station is causing problems. Is this program something you use? If not, then I suggest uninstalling it. If it is, I suggest reinstalling it. You can get it here.

                                                             thank you Albert60

Hmm, another response that got dropped. Sorry about that. Here is what I put in my previous post.

Toshiba Service Station, according to Toshiba, This application allows your computer to automatically search for TOSHIBA software updates or other alerts from TOSHIBA that are specific to your computer system and its programs. When enabled, this application periodically transmits to our servers a limited amount of system information required to perform these updates or alerts.

Do you need it? No. Is it useful? If it works as advertised then yes. This is a personal decision. Some people think this sort of software just eats up resources, others find it useful because it will tell you when your Toshiba software has updates. Generally this also includes driver updates for your hardware, but I don't know if this specific program does that.

Can you try using Google Chrome to see if you can play the games in it?

Hoov,   Sorry  I hate Google chrome,  also it is an MSN game and will only take the explorer browser to play,  that is why I was wondering if active x was on there and it shows it is,   wonder if I should remove it and when I go to the MSN game site, it will say to let active x down load, should I remove it and see?  if so how do I remove it just go to add remove and remove it? and see if that will do it?  other then the game is anything odd on the computer that you see?  when we ran all those tests, were they ok?  thanks Albert60 hope your wife is doing well

There are probably all kinds of ActiveX controls installed. We can try something in that direction. First you need to back up your favorites folder. Open up file explorer (that folder looking thing on the taskbar) and then in the left hand pane click on your user profile name. Then in the right pane look for the folder labeled Favorites. Right click on that folder and select copy. Now close the file explorer and right click on the desktop and select paste. Now all your favorites are backed up. Now we will reset IE. This will erase all your username / passwords that you have saved so you need to make sure you know them all. Expect this process to erase everything in IE.

To reset IE first close it and go to the control panel and then to the Internet Options control panel. Now click on the Advanced Tab. Down at the bottom there is a button marked reset in the Reset Internet Explorer section. Click the button. In the window that opens, click on the box to Delete Personal Settings. Now click the Reset button. When that is done, start IE. Now you will be starting a brand new copy of Internet Explorer. Go ahead and go thru any Popups asking about settings. Set the choices to what you want. Once you get to IE and can browse to a page. Go to your games and see if they will play. If they do, you will need to close it and go to the desktop and open the favorites folder that you copied above. Select all the entries and then open your file browser and click on the favorites folder under your username. Right click on the right side in the white area and select paste. Now all your favorites have been restored. Open IE and all your favorites will be back.

Let me know how that goes.

As for my Wife, it is not my wife it was PCBruiser's wife, I will pass along the sentiments.
