I was just moving something on my desk top, as I was deleting things, and the next thing I knew these all popped up  It is odd,   I ran a scan and malware bytes found   2 toolbar threats and quarantined them     I wonder if I should do a system restore and see if they will go back on there own?

This thing is so sensitive you move the wheel just slightly wrong and all heck breaks loose.

Try the system restore to sometime before the problem occurred and let me know what happens.

ok,   cause as I was shutting down the computer that night it decided to update and it wasn't plugged in,  so then it turned off because battery was low,      so as I turned it back on plugged in It then began finishing updates and then shut off, came back on, and then I rearranged the desk top trying to get rid of some junk, and bam,.........that all came up I  hope they go back to where they belong.

You will have to run the update again. The power going off during the update is probably what caused it. When you do a Windows update, you should always plug it in prior to downloading the updates. That way you will not turn your computer into a boat anchor.

ya,    it was plugged in as I was turning it off on normal shut down, I closed the lid and then noticed that that it  powered it off faster, then normal, it is always plugged in since I do need a new battery,.......................     when I go into  system restore, I don't know what  restore point to go too?..............because they all say critical update, and that means I will loose the updates,  how these stupid file cabinets got on here is just insane.  maybe I should just leave them, as far as active x is concerned, cant I just go to control and find active x and delete that way? and reinstall?  I  just want to almost give up because this thing is just so old,  I have a nicer one in hock because we were low on money, I just need to buy it out and use that one,

We can get this one to work, but it is up to you. The restore point will be to one before you did the update and had the problem.

As for uninstalling active x, all we can do is uninstall Active X components.

Let me know when you have the system restore done.

I  am   just going to leave this junk alone and let you get back to helping people who really need it  I went to all the system restore points and one had 2 toolbar virus's in it and I don't want them back,  the rest say critical updates, and I will loose the updates, so I just put these stupid file cabinets in a folder, knowing they will be ok there

As for the games it seems something went wrong there not sure what, so I will wait till I get out the good computer out of hock, I just don't want to waste any more of your time, as I read on the forum people need your help with more pressing matters then this,  I want to thank you for doing all you have done though, you are really great people.    albert60    thanks again hoov

Don't worry about my time, I actually have plenty of it. I am disabled and retired, so this is my "Work" . If you are willing there are a few more things we can do, it is always worth saving a computer if it is your only option. I know about running out of cash, and I also know in this economy, it may be a while.

Please download and install Speccy. Once that is done, then start it up. Once it is done analyzing, click on File and then on Save Snapshot. Save the snapshot to your desktop and then right click on it and select Send To and then Compressed (Zipped) Folder. Upload the log to the same place you uploaded to before.
