Run the System Update Readiness Tool (SUR) see if the updates work when complete...

1. Download and run the System Readiness Tool from the following:

Windows 8 & 8.1 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=42255

2. When it asks you if you wish to install, please answer yes. Note: It could take 15 minutes or more to run. Please don't cancel.
3. You will get an Installation Complete screen when it's done running.
4. Please post the contents of the log from the following location. C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log

When done see if the updates now work.....

Thanks,

Kevin....

Not sure what is happening with that link, run the fixit from the following link:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058

Re-boot when complete, try the windows update again.....

If this does not help then probably a system "Refresh" is the way forward. Currently Windows 8.1 is the OS, did your system start with Windows 8 then update to 8.1 or did 8.1 come already installed?

It says it fixed the problems:
service regostration is missing or corropt
windiws update error 0x80070057
problem installing recent updates solved

But when i try to install the 2 important updates i get the same error code as usual.

I have windows 8.1 but it was installed with windows 8.

So i got to reinstall my system than with my onekey rescue system.

Thank you for your help, unfortunately it didn't fix it.

Do you think i got a virus on my system or ?

When i try to reinstall windows this way:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc

it says that this piont is damaged.

When i try one key partition recovery it says this partition is damaged, so do not launch the main application.

Is this bad installation (i had the firm where i buyed the laptop install my system from a hdd to a ssd) or is this becaus of a virus or somekind?

From the link you quoted in your last reply use the option that states the following:

Refresh your PC without affecting your files

That instruction will use a saved image to refresh your PC, as it was initially Windows 8 that will be the version available after completion. You will have to update to Windows 8.1 through Windows updates....

let me know if refresh works...

I got a legit windows 8.1 install, i used a software so i could boot from my usb.

Im currently updating my system (the install worked perfect (first i format all my hdd+SSD))

I have over a 100 update to install, around 50 of them are already done. so far so good.

I keep you posted when all of my update have been done, fingers cross that i won't get the same problem.
