Absolutely.

Follow the instructions here to uninstall Flash.

Let me know how that goes. Also go ahead and run Firefox with all the add ons enabled. See what happens.

Yes, that's what I did before, the same uninstall page.  I uninstalled previously and reinstalled, but the problem remained.  Should I do it again anyway?

The problem has not reoccurred while Flash was uninstalled.  Should I try reinstalling?  Thanks....

It is re-installed.  I guess I will just let you know how it goes, whether the black patch returns in the next day or so....
