I have a rootkit problem!
« on: March 30, 2011, 07:23:48 PM »
Its a Windows XP SP3 HP Desktop with a rootkit. How should I go about this? The rootkit has a search redirect and constant pop up saying I won something.

I ran a rootkit removal scan called Sophos which found about 400 hidden files. Do I check all of these and clean them? I really need some advice! Thanks for your time everyone!
