PDF creator ?

Hi, not being very computer literate, my question may sound strange. While surfing this website under free software links, came to pdf creator, to use instead of adobe. I have adobe air, reader, and flashplayer installed. The only reason I have flash installed is to listen to things on youtube and some emails. reader and air came together and I installed them because they were on the first pc I ever used, thought I needed them. Now the question: what is a pdf reader of creator and do I need one, and can I just remove air and reader as to my knowledge I have never used them, but once, when I went to dell. support and was viewing the manual for a dimension 3000, and it had to load, I think it said pdf, do not remember. Thanks for any assistance. Liz.

If you are looking for free software, there is only one site I completely trust:  http://www.snapfiles.com .  They are exceptionally careful and check all software for malware continuously.  I have been using, and recommending, them for a decade, and no one I have sent there has ever been infected from their downloads.  If you do a search for pdf you will find a number of free alternatives to Adobe.

BTW, I strongly recommend that you post one topic, at only one site you trust, with all your numerous questions.  You clearly have many, but cross checking answers at multiple sites is really not appreciated.  It tells us you don't trust us to give you a proper answer to your questions.  If you ask a question here, you can trust the answer to be correct and on point.  You do not need to ask it elsewhere in order to compare the responses.  Keep doing that, and we will stop responding.  Remember the little boy who cried wolf.

PC Bruiser, Thank you for your response and I apologize if you feel I have wasted your time. I do not wish to waste any one's time, which is why I spread my questions through several forums. It is not because I distrust your answers nor am I comparing answers. I do not believe that I have asked the same questions. I will attempt to not ask many questions, or please let me know what is a good number to stop.
As for the original question of this post: I was not searching to install any new freeware, just seeing what was out there. The search was through this forum, am not aware if that matches your chosen search site or not. My main reason is to find out if I need a pdf creator. I have several things installed that I would like to question their necessity. Please advise if I should ask elsewhere. Sincerely, Liz.
