Do a search for cbs.log on your computer. If its not there, then sfc did not run properly.

Can you tell me when the IP Network Address Translator entry in the device manager showed up with a yellow exclamation mark? What other devices have a yellow exclamation mark or a red x on it?

I noticed that today.

Zune Bus Enumerator Driver
are all in yellow

Try right clicking on TCP/IP Protocol Driver and select uninstall. Then reboot the computer and it should reinstall the device and then you should be able to get online with it.

Well it is a good thing you have a XP SP3 disc. Time to do a repair install of windows. If you follow the instructions, then what will happen is windows will be reinstalled, but all of your other programs and personal data will be retained. Some windows settings may be reset, but you can always change them again after.

There is a real good set of instructions with screenshots here. Please look them over and ask any questions. When you are sure you are ready, go ahead and do the repair install.
