Sorry, I should have clarified when I told you what to do. The drive letter can change after a reboot, depending on the state of the drives.

On disk 3 create a new simple volume, use the entire drive. Once it is created, format it and use the NTFS file system.

Much better. Now right click on that drive and click properties. Now go to the tools tab. Now in the error checking section click the check now button. Check both boxes and then click the start button. You may get a popup about having to schedule the scan. If you do, click yes and then reboot the computer.

Let me know what what the end results are.

Hi Hoov, The results came back ok.So that you know I did save something to the drive before performing this check. My mistake.Did`nt know you were going to have me run this first. Here are the results.Image below.I also wanted to ask what the proper way to use this device is.If I do It Manually is It O.K to disconnect it & then only connect & power up when I need it?

Absolutely. I would make it a practice to backup your data at least once a week though.  The best way to do this is to pick a day where you can do all your maintenance at once, such as clean the temporary files, run any manual scans, and do all your backups. That way it becomes habit, and you won't forget it.

No problem of you saving to the disk first.

How did it go?

I think everything went well I saved the back up to the drive.I have not done I complete back up yet.Since my computer Is most likely still clean because of the reinstall I should probably do that now. ;)1  This I Imagine is the best time to do that.I will do that now If there are any other suggestions you think I should take I am all ears. Thanks You.

I think we have covered pretty much everything. Do you have any more questions or concerns? Is this done?
