I have it connected.I am now going to run the download.I have a question though.I see that the drive is listed as G.Then there is a recovery listed as H.I will delete both? I am guessing that is the Dell system recovery for factory settings?I deleted that also I believe when I did my reinstall.So I am guessing this must also be deleted?

To make sure that you delete both, go to the control panel, and then to the administration tools. Then go to computer management, and then go to disk management. If both of those drives are on the same physical disk, then yes delete them both. If not, then only the one on the drive you are preparing. Look at the image below. Drives c and d are on the same physical disk but drive E is on a separate disk.

Hi Hoov,I am running the write zeros again.I did notice though that the dive was not listed the second time.But I new which one it is.Is that normal? Here is the Image I just captured.Thanks

Hi,Ran the same test & recieved same results or similar result? Here Is Image of second run.I noticed though when I ran It the second time there is no G drive below or when I click on computer.It was there Initially.So I guess that is because I did`nt format it? I will wait to see what you think.Thanks.I ran a Quick test after the full.

That is normal. And as you guessed, because the drive is not formatted, windows does not see it as a usable drive.

Try running the extended test. Once that is done, try formatting it and see what happens. Don't do a quick format though.

Ok thanks Hoov, I am running that now.I have about 2 hours left.So after this I would format that drive? I would go into computer management then-Disk management-Click on the new drive,Then format?? So you know I have a disk that came with the enclosure It is a Rocketfish cd/dvd.I have not yet installed this.Do you know anything about this brand?If it has the options would I be bettor to format from Windows?Then Install the disk to run back ups? Thanks again.

Hello Hoov, I can`t figure it out.The extended test failed.But Not sure if this is bettor then No full back up at all? I have an Image below.It is listed.But I am not sure how to set up the right way.If you have a suggestion please. Thanks

Did you write down why it failed?

Try going back to the screen that shows the harddrives (the one in admin tools) and right click on the E drive and select format. Once that is done, there is one more step to do.

Hi Hoov,There is no option to format.When I right click it it only says Change letter paths...,Properties & help.Thats All thats listed.
