Also looking over that report it states I have AVG 2012.  I thought we took that out.

The only place where it says AVG is in the Active Antivirus. There is no AVG listed as being installed. We will work on that.

Look at the bottom section, see where it gives the hotfixes. Some of them say reinstall just to the right of the details shortcut. If you click the details shortcut it will take you to the hotfix that needs installing. Try installing all of the ones that need reinstalling. Let me know how it goes.

When I click on the details by reinstall it gives me a statement to go to the start menu, then the control panel to automatic updates.  To turn that on.  It's not taking me to the update.  Also It tried to take me to the first one, but do I clike the 86bits or 64bits?

You want the x86. The 64 bit is for the 64 bit OS. the x86 is the 32 bit OS version. Let me check on this I will be back with you in a couple minutes.

When you click the details next to this update, KB2604092 does it take you to this page? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2604092

There should be a section titled Download information with a download link just below that.

Below is a snip of the download section for the hotfix. Skip the section where it says to turn on windows update, and just do the downloads. Make sure to get the x86 version for windows XP for all of the fixes you download. If one of the updates tells you to reboot, do it before proceeding to the next hotfix.

Somehow when I clicked onto the details I got to a page Download Center that gives me a box to type each one of the updates in then to download it then I get a wizard to use.  Seems to be doing ok, but I have to do each one that way...hope they are loading ok.  I guess I'll let you know.  Don't want to escape out of the site...don't know if it will come up again.

Curious. When I click on the link, the file starts downloading. But if you are getting what you needed some other way, keep doing it. If it gets you there, then there is no need to mess with it.

Let me know how it goes.

I got some of them, but once I got to the Windows Media Player my version was not there to download.  I couldn't get 10 of them.  Most said not compatable for IE8...only up to 7.  Also WMP just not avaliable at all.

I got 5 more of them downloaded.  Got some of the WMP ones done,  Nothing listed for KB939683 and KB929399.  No  Explorer 8 for  KB950759, KB953838, and KB956390.  (only 6 and 7)

I reran that log after I did the updates.  Still said reinstall.  I guess none of the hotfixes took.  The ones I could get to...like you deminstrated, I did, the others I did the other way.  If I clicked on details, they all didn't come up with the same way to download the hotfixes.

The updates that show up as needing to be reinstalled, go to the control panel and then to the add / remove programs and try uninstalling those updates. Once they are uninstalled, uninstall IE and Windows Media player. They will roll back to a previous version. Then try running the updates again and see if they install this time.
