Go back to the page where you downloaded the drivers, and download the clean utility and run that. Then try running the first file you downloaded from there.

I did the uninstall clean utility, then ran the other download (unzip).  I got it to accept the drivers I guess.  I then went to check Firefox...still doing the same thing.  Won't print  (error 126)  I also didn't have the icon for my printer on my desktop.  Tried  to create a shortcut...now I don't have the file listed in my startup menu, and can't seem to figure how to get it back.  It's just on my desktop along with the shortcut.  It prints in IE.  Do I need to use the install disc for the printer?

Go ahead and install whichever driver works best. I am totally out of idea's. I have winged it on the last couple. I hate to give up on a problem, but I think you will be better off contacting Lexmark. The page you have been downloading from, there is a link to e-mail the lexmark folks right on the left side.

What other problems are you still having?

I don't see the link to email Lwxmark, but I guess I can call them.  There is a 800 #.

I am having a problem.  I tried to scan with Spybot, and I got a message that read...The application has failed to start because dyn.dll was not found.  Re-installing the application may fix this problem.  I check OK it then loads.  When Updating it reads The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.  I don't know if I should try to reinstall spybot or what.  Also lately I've been running into both IE, and Firefox locking up...reads Not Responding.  Just started about 2 days ago.  Maybe that problem will just go away soon.

Sorry first line I mispelled.  Should be Lexmark. not Lwxmark.

Install this, Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and then reboot your computer. When it restarts try Spybot again. All should be well with it.

About Lexmark, look at the screenshot below. The e-mail link is highlighted.

About Firefox and IE locking up. When was the last time you cleared the browser cache? You may want to try that. If you have Ccleaner installed, run that.

Any other issues?

Ya know, I'm about ready to throw this thing out the window.  I downloaded the Redistributable Package...It did not work, but what it did, was freeze my computer up for about 1/2 hour.  Everything I tried, like, the task manager froze up...including the Task Manager.  I had to power off my computer by turning the power strip off, which I don't like to do.  Yes, I clean the cookies, and history every day.  Run Ccleaner about 3 times everytime I close the system.  I scan, run the disc cleaner and the disc defragger.  Unless there is something else I should be cleaning that I don't know about.

I emailed Lexmark, guess we'll see what their idea is about the printer.  By the way after I  get the error: 126, and hit ok.  I get another message that reads...Function address 0x0 caused a protection fault. (exception code 0xc 0000005)  The application property sheet page(s) may not function properly.

Still the NEWS stories, and only the NEWS stories are a little out of sync (sometimes), then it catches up to its self.

Can you give me a copy of the event viewer logs again?

About the audio issue, it has to be a problem with your internet connection. Speed issue. Try playing one of the video's, but as soon as you start playing it hit pause and let the video fully download and then hit play again.

With the printer, I am totally baffled.

I don't remember how we did the event viewer logs.  Please remind me.  You would think I would have all this down, as long as we have been working on these problems, but I don't.

I'll try to hit pause to see what happens.

Haven't heard from Lexmark yet.  It's the weekend, probably won't till Monday.

I went to the video, loaded it,  hit pause, left it load, then watched it.  Still doing the same thing.  I then watched it again, and it still was doing the same. (Firefox)

Went to log in to reply, froze up again.  (IE)  Had to close IE , and start over.

I have no idea what the problem is with the video. It is so erratic. News broadcasts are no different than a streaming video.  Why one would have a problem and the other would not. So lets try checking your hardware.

Please download Download BurnInTest Professional edition V7.0 (32-bit)

Install it and then run it. Click on the "Burn in results" tab. Now click the green arrow up at the top to start the test. You may want to turn the volume down.  Please let it run long enough that everything has gone thru at least 1 cycle except for temperature. Once everything has gone thru the 1 cycle, click the stop button. Let me know how that runs. Also on this test, once it is done, go to the temperature tab and give me a screenshot of the temperature graph.

I tried to load the Burn In Test.  I think I got it loaded, but I got a message that read...This application has failed to start because framedyn.dll was not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.  It was locked up, then I restarted it, and I think I got it.  It sounded ok.  No echoing.   I hope this is the screen shot you need.

By the way this is the same error I'm getting from Spybot.

I can't seem to send the screen shot to you...first it said the file was too large, now it reads it's empty when I tried to send a zip file.

I also talked to Lexmark this evening.  They got into my system to check files, but kept loosing the connection.  They said they thought it was on their end, and want me to try again tomorrow evening.

I think I got it...it sent twice.  I needed to type something, forgot.  That's why it wouldn't send.

I can't find the link for Spybot.  If you send a new link, I'll delete the old, and reinstall a new to see if that fixes the problem with Spybot.
