Hello
My wife clicked a lnik in an e-mail which took her to a site which pretended to scan computer and then warned that PC had multiple viruses. Dialogue box appeared with an option to download and save a removal tool and she clicked "Save". a file called "setup.exe" was saved to Downloads folder. She didn't run it.
I am concerned that "Save" option may also have run executeable and infected PC with malware. My biggest fear is spyware that may be logging security details.
I have scanned PC with Sophos and also downloaded and run Macaffee Stinger and Microsoft Safety Scanner. They both found some old malware but nothing recent. Is there anything else I should do or am I being paranoid?
