Virgin Media Cuts Pirate Bay Access
« on: May 03, 2012, 06:34:27 AM »
Internet Service Providers in the United Kingdom are beginning to enforce a ruling by the country's high court ordering them to block the Pirate Bay filesharing website. The Guardian reports Virgin Media to be the first ISP to enforce the block, soon to be followed by Sky and BT.

But the Pirate Bay told bloggers at TorrentFreak that it had recieved 12 million more visitors than average leading up to the block being implemented, giving the site plenty of opportunity to teach users how to evade restrictions.
