Hello and thanks again in advance!
I installed Macrium Reflect, Free version on my Win 7 system and have a question. I use the Software on an XP machine and learned that if I have a partitioned HDD that in order to fully restore the drive I must make an Image of all partitions on that drive. If I don't I restore the OS and lose the D partition and all data on it. No problem, that was learned a long time ago through trial and error.
My Win 7 system has 2 HDD and each is divided into 2 partitions. C is where the OS is, D is where Data is. On the second drive there is music, pictures, and a copy of the data from the D drive. My question is this: In order to properly reinstall Win 7 and the entire C and D partition I would have to instruct Reflect to Image both drives. If I do that and decide not to Image the E and F drives and I have to restore the operating system and D partition will the second hard drive which contains the E and F partitions on it still be available after the restore? Or do I have to back everything up? My XP system only has one HDD with 2 partitions, and that's where the confusion lies. I realize backing everything up is the way to go, but in my quest to learn I thought I'd ask.
