Thanks! - Loaded Firefox. Everything seems to run smoothly. The only issue, and it's minor, is that most programs are still a bit slow to open. Firefox runs smoothly and without fail. (I stayed on for an hour, two separate times). Have not run IE or Chrome again.

Go ahead and try chrome and IE and make sure they are still causing a problem.

Also can you tell me the model number of your harddrive? If you go into the device manager, it will be in there. Have you been having any problems with programs not loading or files of some kind not loading properly?

Forgot to check the model number of the harddrive.

Tried both IE and Chrome again, both were slow, but never did crash. Firefox now seems noticeably slower after using the others.

I'll get the harddrive info tomorrow morning.

I'm having similar problems with a machine I use at home on a daily basis I'll start another thread for.
Thanks

Try running Western Digitals Lifeguard diagnostic on your harddrive. Let me know what the results are.

Try running Ccleaner again and see if that improves anything. Also just for giggles, it would not hurt to run chkdsk on your drive.

   1. Double-click My Computer, and then right-click the c:\ drive.
   2. Click Properties, and then click Tools.
   3. Under Error-checking, click Check Now. A dialog box that shows the Check disk options is displayed,
   4. Use one of the following procedures:
          *  select the Automatically fix file system errors check box
          *  select the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors check box
   5. Click Start

Note If one or more of the files on the hard disk are open, you will receive the following message:
The disk check could not be performed because the disk check utility needs exclusive access to some Windows files on the disk. These files can be accessed by restarting Windows. Do you want to schedule the disk check to occur the next time you restart the computer?
Click Yes to schedule the disk check, and then restart your computer to start the disk check.
