IExplorer works with Windows Firewall but not Trend's

I could not get web browser connection to work with Trend Internet Security 2009 Firewall but when I turned it off and enabled Windows Firewall things worked. I know I still have mallware on the machine but could not see why Trend Firewall did not work.  Tried setting  security to low and checked all the TCP type boxes in their settings.

Any ideas?

Make sure that your Trend Micro firewall is configured to allow the various browsers you are using to access the internet.
