Hi

A while ago I posted a HijackThis logfile into the specified forum, but I didn't check back until recently. I'm was new to this forum, and when I didn't see a reply after a couple of days, I thought that it was a dead-end. I'm terribly sorry for that, especially to I think it was 'Hoov' who did reply.
His instructions on what to do was helpful. The original thread is now 'Inactive,' however I did follow the instructions he gave me, step by step without deviating. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware was the program I was told to use to scan my PC with, and it did pick up several items and gave me a logfile at the end. I removed the found items as instructed, restarted, and I was told to upload the logfile given by MBAM, in response to my thread, however, I can't because its 'Inactive.' I can't send PM's either because the security code doesn't appear, and sound doesn't play when you press the link to listen to the code.

Although MBAM did pick up malware and said it removed it, I'm still not 100% sure that everything is, A-okay.
So, I'm not too sure where to go from here. How do I know that the malware is gone, and should I still upload the file?

Sorry for any inconvenience. : s

Hi,

I have moved your topic back to the HJT forum and marked it In Progress.  Hoov should receive a notice that the topic has been reactivated, but if he doesn't post to the topic in a day of you posting to the topic, send him a private message, not an email, that the topic has been reopened.

In addition to the MBAM log, you must post a fresh HJT log.
