Virus or malware is revoking access to all antivirus and antispyware programs I have installed. Now, my XP will not restart or shutdown after login to Windows without logging user off first. Even Malwarebytes Anti-Malware was frozen up when I tried to run a scan. I can download and execute drivers, games, etc., with no problem. The virus or trojan is at the system level telling me I do not have access to the AV software after I try to run it with all the scans freezing up. Microsoft Security Essentials says it is on but I can't find any files for it and no .exe running for it. Very weird. I cannot re-install MSE either with all sorts of object errors and I already uninstalled and reinstalled the Microsoft SP 3.5 and ran Combofix to make sure that I do not have conflicting antivirus problems. Please help! Thanks.
