L!C-file
« on: December 15, 2009, 02:15:56 PM »
Hello,

Hmm I guess this isn't a "computer issue" but still it is a good question  ;)

Some time ago I found a file on my computer that was 0 bytes, which isn't that strange I guess. I was however a bit surprised since I had absolutely no idea where the file had come from. So I checked the filetype, of the file, and it was a L!C-file. So my question is, what is a L!C-file?

I just found it one day in "shared folders", I have no idea how it got there or what it was doing there however...

Hmm, I do not think that it is an lic file since it is has an exclamation mark, and not an "I", between the "L" and the "C" (L!C-file). Any other ideas? By the way, have you ever seen a file extension with an exclamation mark before?

it could be part of a software install that did not finish or some software that was removed and that ! was used to mark the file for something
