Add New Hardware Wizard Problems
« on: January 25, 2010, 10:11:49 pm »
First, what is the device titled, "Modem Device On High Definition Audio Bus"? It says a driver for it is missing, but every time i try to update the driver I get the message that the driver cannot be found. Therefore, when I uninstall this seemingly useless device it pops right back up after I restart my PC in 'Found New Hardware" telling me the same driver problem.. It's a vicious cycle, here. Therefore, can someone tell me how to fix the driver, or how to uninstall the device permanently?

Also, I should note that I am running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2002 on a Toshiba Satellite.

Find your product Here. Download and or update all your drivers that apply.

Thanks. However, the link did not work. Toshiba site must be having trouble? I'll try again later.

So I got to the site but there was no driver listed to fit my needs... Any ideas?

I suggest you contact THEM. They manufactured your system so you should ask them how they intend to service your issue. It may well be, now that it is 8 years old,  no longer supported.
