Welcome to SpywareHammer.

If you are planning on posting a Hijackthis log in the forum, then these are the instructions for doing so.

And some Do's and Don'ts

The Do's

1.You need to create a free account by registering. To do that Click Register
If you have already done so then there is no need to register again.

2.Download and install Hijackthis and create a log. Please refer to the instructions here:  How to Create and Post a Hijackthis log  Do NOT run any other anti-virus or anti-malware scans unless under the direction of our Staff here.  Running other scans may damage your system beyond repair.

3. Open the TrendMicro Hijackthis log forum

4. On the right side Select the New Topic button

5. In the Subject Line put a descriptive title such as "pop up infection" or "I get redirected". (Do not include [In Progress] in your title. This is what we use to see who is being helped and who is not.  ;)

6. Copy and Paste your Hijackthis log in your reply as well as a brief description of the problem you are experiencing. (See How to Create and Post a Hijackthis log)

7. Then Select the Post button. That's it. You will receive an email when your topic is replied to.

The Don'ts:

1. We are all volunteers here and we will get to your log as soon as  possible so please be patient.

2. Do not reply to your own topic. Doing so will cause the helpers here to skip over your log thinking that it is already being addressed.

3. Do not bump your own topic

4. Do not post any other logs in your topic unless asked to by a helper here.

5. Do not use profanity for any reason (This will result in your post being deleted)

6. Do not argue with the instructions given.

7. If you do not intend to come back and follow our Staff's instructions, do not post and waste our valuable time.

It is quite alright to ask questions.

It is quite alright to disagree.

It is not alright to argue.

Topics in this forum are to be answered by Staff Only. Often users who think they may be helping, may actually be harming.
If you desire to help, please contact Bugbatter about the possibility of training to become a Malware Removal Staff Member.
