Internal 3.5" Floppy Drive Connection to MOB

Hi:

Just finished installing a new MOB on a friend's computer (ASUS M4A785-M). I solved the CD-DVD/RW drive connection issue by using a power-to-SATA cable, and the only remaining issue is that his internal floppy drive is no longer compatible with the MOB. Yes, his wife still uses the 1.44MB discs and he <needs> the drive.  Since there is an available bay, I want to swap out this internal floppy for a
1.44MB 3.5" USB Internal Slim Floppy Disk Drive which has a 4-pin USB internal header connector. My question is <where> does a 4-pin USB internal header connector plug in on the MOB?
I added a photo of the floppy and connector. The MOB has plenty of SATA connectors and USB connectors on the board (10-1 pin USB78, USB910, USB1112). Is there an internal floppy with a SATA connection?

I doubt if there is such a critter as a floppy with SATA, by the time SATA came out, floppy drives had pretty much become obsolete.

As for where to connect the USB floppy, you can connect it to any of the USB ports on the motherboard.

I can connect a 4-pin connector to a USB port on the MOB, each port having the 10-1 pin configuration?
I am sure you know what I am talking about, but seen from above, each USB connector has the following male pin configuation as viewed from above the MOB.

What is the make and model number of the motherboard you are using. I think making general statements s going to cause problems. If I have the make and model, then I can be more specific.

I just got the user manual for the motherboard, and realized what you are talking about. Each set of those connectors is 2 USB connections. Each side is a USB connection. The single pin by itself on the end is not used. So if you connect the drive to either side of the sets of 4 pins, the connection will work.  If you look on the connector of the drive, there should be 4 wires, with an 5 empty pin. Make sure that empty pin connects to either the blank spot in the connector, or the pin that is its pair.

Does this make sense?

Makes perfect sense now since a picture is worth one thousand words! I will try the connect on either row of the USB connector, but I am assuming the bottom row with the 5th pin missing will be the target.
